Description: We have an exciting opportunity for a Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist.
Reporting to the President and General Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable to lead projects; through commissioning, repair and maintenance of primary and secondary equipment geared to environmental sustainability.

Accountabilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following areas:
1. Service Scope
Understand and implement project scope for equipment upgrades as well as maintenance, testing and commissioning services for industrial equipment geared to the recycling & waste management industry.
2. Continuous Improvements
Identify service opportunities & schedules for contractors and mechanics and communicate them to Managers Participate in industry events
3. Job Preparation & Planning
Ensure all equipment and materials are available for maintenance
4. Job Execution
On site, hands-on work, as required Provide project status updates to the President and General Manager
Responsible for equipment quality and document reviews Escalate awareness of issues and concerns on projects within a timely manner to General Manager Develop maintenance strategy and adjust timelines Follow-up on deficiency work Ensure work is completed as per required scope Keep a comprehensive inventory of components and parts Maintain effective communication with internal and external groups regarding milestone achievements, costs, opportunities, etc. Ensure leadership safety excellence is demonstrated Meet and review project execution with General Manager
5. Reporting
Ensure completion and submission of all documents complete technical reviews
6. Safety
Ensure all safety policies are adhered to at all times Participate in safety meetings

Qualifications: Required Skills and Qualifications: 10 years’ experience as an Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist with a focus in Mechanical, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
Thorough and hands-on experience commissioning, testing and maintaining heavy equipment and or on site machinery. Broad knowledge in commercial, industrial and compaction & recycled waste environments Wiling to learn new skills, machine types and brands Must have a valid driver’s license Ability to self-manage with proven initiative and results Proficient computer experience in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications Strong problem solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision Must be able to work in a dynamic continuously changing work environment Excellent time management skills with an attention to detail Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal A positive, “can-do” attitude with integrity Fluent in English
