Business Development – Manager of Proposals
Our client a global EPC Engineering and Construction group is seeking a Manager of Proposals. The strategic goals of the position include, but are not limited to:
• Managing and directing the preparation of Expression of Interests, proposals, qualification documents and presentations on-time and on-budget for multiple projects at any given time;
• Developing proposal plans, outlines and schedules
• Managing the Bid / No-Bid process and tracking proposal KPI’s;
• Guiding proposal team members in preparing the technical and cost components of the proposal;
• Reviewing proposal draft and final versions for responsiveness to RFP, thoroughness, accuracy, staffing, financial considerations, quality and effective design and layout.
• Participating in the development of marketing brochures and literature;
• Reviewing and updating market intelligence
Qualifications:
Qualifications of the successful candidate will include:
• Minimum 5 years experience in a project environment;
• Professional Engineer or Technologist with an MBA is a plus;
• Detail oriented with first-class leadership and motivational skills;
• Excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Successful track record in Business Development and/or Project Management, specifically in preparing proposals and managing multiple contracts;
• Extensive knowledge of the operation of an EPCM office as well as a background in the chemicals and petroleum markets;
Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities;
• A self-starter and lateral thinker.
This position has excellent growth potential and will provide the successful individual the opportunity to be part of the strategic direction of the business.
This is a 1 year Contract position with the potential to become permanent. This opportunity is located in Edmonton and reports to the Director of Business.
