You will contribute to our team by

 

  • Prepares, reviews, and negotiates the terms of general corporate and commercial agreements, and, where appropriate, engages and manages external legal counsel to assist with such matters.
  • Develops and maintains self-help tools for internal business partners pertaining to such matters as standard form contracts, contracts playbooks, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Develops, implements, and reviews corporate and commercial related operational processes to ensure compliance to Capital Power’s policies, standards, regulatory requirements and ensure mitigation of risks.

On behalf of our client a well-established Commercial Construction Company, located in North West Edmonton, we are seeking a Commercial Estimator/Project Manager to be responsible for reviewing, adjusting, and preparing estimates to facilitate construction projects. As part of the team, you will be directly responsible for completing projects per schedule, scope, contract, and budget for your own projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works alongside additional PM/Estimators and the Site Supervisor while in constant communication with the field team(s).
  • Review, estimate and manage price change orders for active projects.
  • Perform accurate take-offs of architectural and structural drawings in systems.
  • Submit requests for information (RFIs) to architects, engineers and/or general contractors to clarify scope of work and drawing details as necessary.
  • Prepare documents for bid and proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Compile, prepare and submit information to general contractors according to established timelines.
  • Attend preliminary and recurring site meetings.
